Types of Network
- LAN-local area network in which the nodes are close together(school,office)
- WAN-world area network in which the nodes are spread out over larger geographic area.
- GAN- global area network where the nodes are spread out more globally (internet)
- PAN-personal area network which consists of computers,mobile...(Computer-printer relationships)
- P2P-peer-to-peer network in which computer can act as a server for the other(Skype,Mail...)
- WLAN-wireless local area network it is the same as LAN,but wireless(Wi-Fi)
- SAN-storage are network which provide dedicated access to storage.
- VLAN-virtual local area network is a logical concept not physical.
- VPN-virtual personal network is creates an encrypted connection over a less secure network,
- Internet-is a network of networks(www,mail,skype,viber)
- Extranet-an intranet that can be partially accessed by authorized outside users
- Intranet-a local or restricted communications network, especially a private network created using World Wide Web software.
